Why the name?

My great-grandparents, who migrated from the South in the 1920s, made the remarkable achievement of purchasing 819 East 168th Street in the Bronx, as a Black family during a time of significant racial and economic challenges.

This house was more than just a building; it was the heart of our family. I spent my entire life visiting 819, where my beloved grand aunts raised me and lived all their lives. Their passing marked the end of an era, and when the family had to sell the house, it left a deep void in me.

Naming my company “819 Realty” is my way of keeping the memory of that home alive, a tribute to the legacy of my great-grandparents and the values of black excellence and resilience they embodied.

Through this business, I aim to honor their legacy by striving for success, contributing to the community and upholding the principles that my family stood for. “819” is a symbol of overcoming adversity, creating opportunities, and leaving a lasting impact.
